Special Meeting of the Bro Ddyfi Communities First Partnership

A Special Meeting of the Bro Ddyfi Communities First Partnership is to be held at  Plas Dolguog Nr Machynlleth, at 6.30pm on Tuesday evening, September 15th 2009.  

This is the partnership’s fourth special meeting (AGM), and will focus both on reviewing the work that has already been done and the progress achieved over the last twelve months, as well as the exciting challenges that lies ahead during the next phase of the Communities First Programme.

The meeting is open to current partnership members and advisors, those who have been nominated, those who have an interest in joining the partnership, as well as those with an interest in participating in any of the working groups.  

Working groups contribute to the Action Plan and can be on-going or task and finish groups as need arises.  Themes within the Communities First programme include: Jobs, Business and Income Generation; Health and Wellbeing; Environment (inc Housing & Transport); Community Safety; Education, Skills and Training; and Child Poverty, as well as the additional Cross Cutting themes of Rurality; Welsh Language and Culture; and Social Inclusion. The partnership may work on any or all of these themes at any particular time according to need.

Anyone wishing to attend the meeting should inform the Communities First office by September 1st 2009 (see details below).  Nominations for membership of the Bro Ddyfi Communities First Partnership, that currently has vacancies, must be received by the
Co-ordinator at least 14 days prior to the meeting.  

Nominees should also identify a theme or themes in which they have an interest, and in which of the four wards (Machynlleth, Cadfarch, Glantwymyn, and Llanbrynmair) they live or work.
