April 26th, Oldford Clear Up Day, Prince of Wales Car Park on the Oldford Estate. Bring your unwanted household items and help with a litter pick!
This event is designed to help residents get rid of unwanted items and to encourage recycling! Oldford Communities First have been given some Awards For All Wales funding for environmental projects on the Oldford Estate. Because of the popularity of this event last year we have decided to use some of this money to hold several Clear Up Days during 2008.
The first of these will be held on 26th April, and the skip will be on the Prince of Wales car park. The later dates are 7th June and 12th July, the location of the skip is yet to be confirmed. There will be a large skip for larger items; any items that are in a good condition will be recycled by The Phoenix Furniture Scheme, including white goods. We will try to recycle as much as possible and there will be litter pickers and buckets available for the residents to do a general tidy around the estate.
If you would like more information or to volunteer on the day, please call us on 01938 556648
